Week 7 MSSSMRMoW

A Crossroads matchup between former coworkers is week 7's
Mike Shaw Subaru Super Mo Replay Matchup of the Week

KP and Bob used to work together before KP had to go off and find himself a job working with the crazies...wait...maybe he had been working with the crazies all along?

Anyways...with this matchup, the first round of reinforcements played a full week for the Huckleberries as KP's first pickups were available.  The result was a much closer matchup for the artists formerly known as Jerad: The Galleria of Suckitude as their march to competency continues.

R RBI SB AVG OBP SLG W K ERA WHIP QS SV+H Score
TBD 25 30 4 0.315 0.356 0.479 1 41 5.79 1.67 2 10 5
Bob's AutoTrackers 26 15 5 0.195 0.265 0.366 2 60 3.28 1.23 5 7 7

What makes this the Mike Shaw Subaru Super Mo Replay Matchup of the Week isnt that this was a super close matchup, even though it was pretty tight.  It isnt that Prince Fielder(462/533/538) and Robinson Cano (458/462/625) finally started hitting like the perennial All Star sluggers that they are for the Huckleberries.  It isnt that new Huckleberries pitchers Jered Weaver (2.57 ERA 0.86 WHIP 1 QS) and Joe Nathan (0.00 ERA, 0.50 WHIP, 4 Sv+H) did exactly what Kevin hoped they would.  It isnt even that there 5 of the 18 pitchers mentioned earlier with WHIPS over 2.00 pitched for 1 team this week (KPs).  Nope, the story of this week's Super Mo Replay is that Bob's AutoTrackers failed to get above the Mendoza line AS A TEAM.  This collective ineptitude has not yet been seen in the long and glorious history of the Tater Tot League of Fantasy Playing Gentlemen.

On a team that features the Cubano Crusher Jose Abreu, Alex Rios, Matt Holliday and Edwin Encarnacion, when Billy Hamilton has the highest average for you for the week, you might as well have started a team with 48 year old Bobby Abreu, Armando Rios, Bug Holliday and Juan Encarnacion...which Bob may have inadvertently done this week.

Lets start at the top according to BA this week:
Billy Hamilton - 240/269/320 4 R 0 RBI 3 SB -- at least he helped in the SB category?
Matt Holliday - 217/333/348 4 R 2 RBI 0 SB - that went down hill fast.  the second highest avg is .217?
Anthony Rendon - 200/320/250 3 R 1 RBI 1 SB - not bad for a second baseman...in 1944.
Edwin Encarnacion - 200/286/600 5 R 4 RBI 0 SB - He hit 3 HRs this week. Its not much, but at least its something.
Alex Rios - 182/182/409 2 R 3 RBI 0 SB - Only held hitless in 1 of 5 games this week.  Never had more than 1 hit in any game.
Jose Abreu - 158/200/474 3 R 5 RBI - 1/3 of the teams RBI total and most of it came on 1 swing on Wednesday.
Dee Gordon - 154/241/192 4 R 0 RBI 1 SB - Hey Kyler, I bet Bob would let you have Dee Gordon right about now.

That is a large steamy pile of gooey poop with two speedsters on each end and a whole lot of empty dreams in the middle.  Yet, despite this effort, Bob still sits in overall first place on the season.
